We drove to Termales del Ruiz and spent 3/27 and 3/28 at the thermal springs/birding hotel! Talk about an amazing place high in the Central Andes. Between watching mountain tanagers and hummingbirds, we would take a dip in the thermal springs and have amazing meals. The first day, we drove up higher to Los Nevados National Park to try for the strange little hummingbird, the Buffy Helmetcrest . Another awesome hummer was the Rainbow-bearded Thornbill at the springs. Again, our wonderful guide, Anderson Munoz came through – thanks for a great two days at Termales Del Ruiz!
