Okefenokee NWR, GA: We went searching for any Red-cockaded Woodpecker nests and found one where at least two little ones (m,f) were already peeking out of the nest hole. It is always interesting to see the sap dripping from around these nests. Both heavily banded parents were feeding them spiders and worms. Also: Red-headed Woodpecker .

Also: Turkey Vulture , Northern Parula (m,juv.) , Eastern Kingbird , Bachman’s Sparrow , and a Great Crested Flycatcher with a major bug at its nest hole.
