6/25/23 and 6/27/23 JAX and Amelia Island, FL: A few images of Royal Tern adults feeding chicks and a nesting mama Loggerhead Turtle on the beach in the morning by the Ritz! Only had a phone to record it, but it was still a thrill to see!
6/25/2023 JAX, FL: Least Tern might be nesting! They are so shy and have a hard time around people. Also: a few shots of Brown Pelican individuals nesting.
6/12/23 JAX, FL: Brown Pelican individuals were creating some fancy nests this year with no chicks visible as of 6/12. The Royal Tern colony seems larger than previous years. (Or perhaps it was just easier to see into the ever changing dunes where they are nesting this year.) They were certainly having chicks; and we certainly took a “few” pics of the brand new little ones. Also: Laughing Gull and Sandwich Tern .
