Recent USA and North American Trips 8/24/23 to 9/6/23

9/6/23 Amelia Island, FL: We stopped at Ft. Clinch SP and Egan’s Creek to catch some of the sights. A male Pileated Woodpecker was keeping an eye on a juvenile male (paler individual), while a Roseate Spoonbill and Great Egret were feeding as well. Also: Brown Pelican against the morning sky, Laughing Gull, Royal Tern teen begging, Ruddy Turnstone , and Willet .

8/26/23 Gainesville, FL: It was a glorious morning! A Snail Kite study (juv. mostly- since it posed in the nice light), a Purple Gallinule study (ad, juv.), along with a few Limpkin shots.

8/26/23 Gainesville, FL: Anhinga , Common Gallinule (ad. juv.), Sandhill Crane (2xad. with juv.), Osprey , and Black-crowned Night-Heron (juv.).

8/24/23 Amelia Island, FL : Black-crowned Night-Heron posing along with a White Ibis and Royal Tern at sunrise.
