8/22/26 We left the high elevation at El Dorado and stopped along the route to the coast, ultimately reaching Barlovento resort and preserve. Thanks to our AMAZING guide Angel Ortiz, we were able to catch a number of birds on what was supposed to be a travel day!

A – G : Chestnut-capped Warbler , Crested Caracara , Crested Oropendola , Gartered Violaceous Trogon (m), Golden-winged Sparrow .
H – R : Orange-crowned Oriole , Pale-bellied Hermit , Pale-breasted Thrush , Rosy Thrush-Tanager , Rufous-breasted Wren , Rufous-tailed Jacamar .
S – Z : Southern Rough-winged Swallow , Steely-vented Hummingbird on nest, Streaked Flycatcher , Streaked Xenops , Tropical Kingbird , Turkey Vulture (subsp. note the white on the head), Yellow-backed Oriole , Yellow-crowned Night Heron .
