6/24 to 6/26/22 Ash Canyon preserve, Ramsey Canyon, and Miller Canyon Beatty’s Guesthouse, AZ: A male Lucifer Hummingbird in all his glory showed up at Ash C., but would only be photographed at the feeder. He (or they) zipped off towards the mountains after a feed. At Ramsey (VCHU nest) and Miller Canyons (White-eared Hummingbird at feeder), Violet-crowned Hummingbirds were active. Then we were told of a Northern Pygmy-Owl at Ramsey and it was awesome to see the little fellow peeking out over the trail. Also: Elegant Trogan and Hutton’s Vireo .
6/24 to 6/26/22 Ash Canyon preserve, Ramsey Canyon, and Miller Canyon Beatty’s Guesthouse, AZ: Anna’s Hummingbird , Black-headed Grosbeak , Blue Grosbeak , Bridled Titmouse , Broad-billed Hummingbird , Bullock’s Oriole, Bushtit , Arizona Woodpecker , Acorn Woodpecker (art work), Lesser Goldfinch , White-winged Dove , Bewick’s Wren , Mexican Jay , and Bronzed Cowbird .

6/24/22 Yuma, AZ : We found both Clark’s Grebe with young and Western Grebe with young.
