8/7 – 8/10/2026 Amelia Island and Gainesville, FL: Belted Kingfisher (Two females were chasing each other around for at least an hour.), Purple Gallinule with a chick and youngster , Great Blue Heron , Common Gallinule with young , Green Heron with stick , Blue-gray Gnatcatcher , Red-tailed Hawk , Northern Cardinal and Ruby-throated Hummingbird . Also of interest was a Mississippi Kite pair flying about though we were unable to capture a good image. More pics coming soon!
