8/17 – 8/24/2026 Under the direction of Colombia Birdwatch run by Chris Calonje – a BIG thanks for arranging, Chris – we flew into Barranquilla, Colombia, and toured the area with Angel Ortiz as our guide. A huge THANK YOU to Angel who has amazing eyes and hearing and was very patient with us as we eventually caught up to what he was seeing! Truly talented! He drove us along the Caribbean coast and we birded Isla Salamnca, then Minca, then moved on to El Dorado – quite a unique place for endemics. Afterward that, we took in Los Flamencos NP and Tayrona NP along a gorgeous coastline. It was another AMAZING trip!
